- Record what happened. Note the place, time and missing items. Ask police about reporting the theft and keep the report reference.
- If your passport is missing, contact your country’s embassy or consulate. Requirements depend on nationality and travel plans.
- Save receipts and correspondence. Check your insurer’s reporting instructions and deadlines if you have cover.
